I have been on a bit of an artist trading card tear, if you haven't noticed.
Last year I was woefully inactive and dragging my feet on the pieces I had started - I still have three paintings waiting to be finished.
With my last art supply order I bought a box of small enclosure cards. They have nifty deckled edges and I nice tooth to them. They take the ballpoint pen, micron pen or water media well so I can just grab one and get to work.
The second thing I bought was a set of Prismacolor watercolor pencils and a pen thingy that holds water with a brush on the end for blending the watercolor pencils.
Playing around with my new toys got up and running.
Having not had many auctions on eBay lately, I took this as an opportunity to get back in it full swing. I am starting all my auctions (except charity auctions) at $ 0.01 with no reserve.
My styles are all over the place but I think the cards give some insight to where me ideas are wandering. Although I like creatures and the imaginary I also love drawing people. Faces are just so fascinating - the same elements rearranged and presented in billions of variations.
So the plan is that the cards will continue to rain down on eBay and I will get those paintings finished and get the next dozen I already have planned realized.
'Night all.
