About M. C. Matz
M. C. Matz is creates works in acrylics, ink, and a mixed media. Using fantastic creatures, anthropomorphized animals and skeletons regularly in her work, she depicts the imaginings that her brain relentlessly churns out.
She has illustrated the indie comic, Sticks & Bones, written by Valya Dudcyz Lupescu. In 2013, she ran and participated in the Amanda Palmer Tarot kickstarter campaign that was featured in Crain's Chicago Business gallery of 20 Chicago products that hit it big on Kickstarter this year. Her worked has been displayed in the Art Institute of Chicago, The Museum of Science and Industry, and Wyler's Children Hospital. Past clients include Warner Brothers, Stoneface Films, Balliwick Theater, the Chicago Literary Hall of Fame, and Wolfsword Press.
